Bright Beginnings

Bright Beginnings Fall 2021 School Readiness Program is a unique partnership between Action Network Family Resource Center and Horicon Elementary School in Annapolis. Bright Beginnings is located at Horicon.

Bright Beginnings provides a rich early childhood experience for 3 to 5 year-old children preparing for kindergarten.  Academics follow the High Scope Curriculum; and exercise and nutrition follow the Sports, Play and Active Recreation for Kids program.  Children also enjoy music, dancing, art projects, gardening, science projects and nutritious organic snacks.

Classes are held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm during the school year.  Due to COVID-19 guidelines, all students will need to be picked by 12:30 pm.  There is no full day program for preschoolers and no aftercare once the morning session ends.

Curriculum and class size subject to change due to ongoing COVID-19 and county guidelines.

Age appropriate activities for children, parents, and their caregivers.

There is no fee associated with this program. Parents or caregivers must accompany children.
